The Bothy is a self-contained cottage in the grounds of The Old Kennels. Newly refurbished throughout, it has a spacious bedroom upstairs with king-size double bed and en suite bathroom (bath with shower attachment). Downstairs is a fully-equipped kitchen and living area with TV/DVD player. There is off-street parking.
Set in the heart of Constable country
The village of Stratford St Mary is in the Vale of Dedham, easily accessed by road from the A12 or by train (6 miles from Colchester) or London airports (London Stansted is 45 minutes away). It is an ideal base for exploring the Stour Valley footpaths, the East Coast and the many historic villages and towns of Suffolk and Essex. Stratford St Mary boasts 3 pubs, a farm shop and cafe, and the Le Talbooth restaurant, all within easy walking distance. Next door to The Old Kennels is the village shop/post office with laundry/dry cleaning service. Room rates
£35 per person per night. Board includes all provisions for a continental or cooked breakfast (self-service in The Bothy kitchen). Payment is requested on arrival and payable in cash or by cheque. No smoking and no pets please.
